If you’re as obsessed with the idea of fleeing the city, sustainable living and to a lesser extend living off the grid, as I am you will love Free Cabin Porn. Just as the name suggests, it’s a whole lot of photos of awesome cabins from various places around the world. The beauty pictured above is in Långserud, Sweden.

I’m not really sure what’s going on here but it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen (I found this on tumblr with no proper source but if you know more about it please let me know so I can link it to the correct place).

Ever since I saw Dirty Dancing when I was a kid I’ve wanted to go to the Catskills so the fact that this (beautifully decorated home) is located there just made me love it even more. It’s owned by an artist and a designer and was built from a prefabricated kit home (which, coincidentally, so was the house I grew up in, although that was a lot bigger and made out of slightly less steel).

Waffles the cat. He is a ridiculously cute Scottish Fold who you can find on tumblr, facebook and twitter.

Are fashion bloggers in general (but specifically at MBFWA) redundant? Honestly, I am not interested in fashion week. I know it seems like sitting first row at fashion shows is every ~style blogger~ ‘s (or whatever it is I do here) dream but not mine. I don’t have any interest in working in the fashion industry and it just seems incredibly boring to me. But I know that not everybody shares my opinion and that a lot of people who read fashion blogs or style blogs are very interested in fashion week and want to see the collections and photos from the shows and all of that. So while I don’t share the vitriol for most of the bloggers mentioned I do think this article raised some interesting points – are fashion bloggers obligated to post detailed coverage of the shows they attend (especially for events like MBFWA that are not open to the general public and thus readers who are not involved in the fashion industry cannot attend)? Are their readers more interested in photos of the bloggers outfits than the runways? I don’t know but I do think it’s worth thinking about.

They’re not always TVs and they’re not always in Fitzroy but TVs in Fitzroy is a blog (run by Limedrop’s Nathan Price) documenting the many, many tvs (and other things) decorating the streets in Melbourne’s inner suburbs.  You can even submit the ones you’ve found and photographed yourself.

Bodie, California is a ghost town in a state historic park which means that you can go visit it if you’re ever nearby. And why wouldn’t you?! Who doesn’t love ghost towns.

Old Loves in a blog devoted to photos of celebrities who used to date and have since broken up. From more recent couples like Mandy Moore and Zach Braff, to ones from the 1970s like Bruce Jenner (and his old face) and his first wife Chystie Scott to Ione Skye and Anthony Kiedis (pictured above) in the 80s. It’s a fun way to kill some time and come across some strange pairing that you never knew about.

The Walk of Faith is a 60 meter long glasswalk way on the side of a cliff 1,430 meters in the air in China. I don’t think I could do it but the photos are really freaking cool.

Unfuck Your Habitat is a foul mouthed home organisation motivational blog. They post lists like this:

Unfuck tomorrow morning!

• Wash the dishes in your sink
• Get your outfit for tomorrow together, including accessories
• Set up coffee/tea/breakfast
• Make your lunch
• Put your keys somewhere obvious
• Wash your face and brush your teeth
• Charge your electronics
• Pour a little cleaner in the toilet bowl (if you don’t have pets or children or sleepwalking adults)

every few days and have a lot of helpful tips for those of us who aren’t naturally tidy along with some cool before and after shots of fucked/unfucked habitats.

With this cold early-Winter weather in Melbourne right now I am really into keeping warm in big jumpers, putting my hair up in a lazy sock bun and eating (drinking?) a lot of soup.

We went out to Tom’s parents’ house in the country for the weekend a couple of weeks ago. This is their cutie kitty Ollie.

And their cutie sheep. This is Mrs Wooly.

On our way home from the country we stumbled across an abandoned motel.

We introduced Zigmond to one of possums in my front garden the other night.

Not the greatest start to a little Saturday daytrip.

In case you were wondering, yes my hair is up in Tavi’s famous 2 minute beehive (so quick! so easy!) which is my new favourite 3rd-day-hair hairstyle.

Since it wasn’t exactly practical to go to Washington after watching too much Twin Peaks, I decided to go up into the mountains last night.

The view is pretty amazing.

I’ve been attempting to learn how to curl my hair. I think I need to invest in some hot rollers.

I wore this on Easter Sunday. I’ve been doing a few bad-quality outfit photos on Instagram when I can’t be bothered carrying my heavy DSLR around.

Tom and I went to see This Must Be The Place and dressed as twins.

I went up to Hepburn Pool on Good Friday for what was probably the last really hot day of the year. It’s a pool that was made in the 1930s by using concrete to create a dam wall type thing in an existing natural body of water. It hasn’t been used as a public pool since the late 1960s but it still has water running through it and you can still swim in it. They held the Victorian swimming championships there in the 1930s.

I don’t think a bowl of chilli fries ever looks especially photogenic but these ones from The Gasometer were the best chilli fries I have ever tasted so they deserved a photo.

Ashley writes the blog This Is Ashley Rose. She is clearly Jennifer Connelly’s babely twin sister or something, idk. She owns the online vintage clothing store Studded Rose Vintage, lives in Melbourne and frequently dresses awesomely.

Broadist is Caroline and Roxy’s personal style blog but it’s also so much more. They post weekly lists of ‘some babes I liked on the internet this week’, their own outfits and reblog enough feminist quotes to make Broadist feel like some kind of wonderful online girl gang.

Katie Merchant blogs on Thank You, OK and posts photos of delicious food, her beautiful home and various cool/inspirational things. She used to live in Seoul, now she lives in Toronto and she also has probably the most perfect hair I have ever seen.

Cute dogs, a cute cat, crafts, motherhood-stuff, weekly manicures, you’ll find all this and more on Unicorn Parade. I have known Tanie online for a really long time, like four or five years I think and I can safely say that she is really awesome and you will enjoy reading about her life (she will even drunkly live tweet Twilight movies for your entertainment). Tanie also has a great Etsy store where she will make you a glitter banner saying pretty much anything you like (even feminist killjoy).

Arched Eyebrow is the blog of British babe Bethany. She posts great outfit posts and gets involved in stuff like Burger Queen.

High Socks is Kristin and basically I kind of love Kristin because she buys great couches and puts photos of Beavis and Butthead in lockets. She also op shops (thrifts) like a pro and dresses really well.

Chances are if you’ve been blogging/reading blogs for a while you’ve probably come across Kaelah (her readership is seriously enormous) and generally I try to link to smaller/lesser known blogs but I couldn’t leave her out because she is one of my absolute favourite bloggers. Unapologetic about her somewhat repetitive style (if you find something that you love go with it, if you ask me) and love of ugly shoes I find her to be one of a very few ‘famous’ bloggers who actually kind of tell it as it is (even more so on her tumblr). She has great taste in everything (I can’t wait to see photos from her up-coming wedding), owns her own business, has amazing hair and posts multiple times a week so there’s always something new to read on her blog.

Dresses and Snacks is just that – cute dresses, delicious snacks and the most adorable little dachshund you’ve ever seen.

See?! I was serious about updating more. I wore this outfit to go and eat a delicious brunch with Tom and now I am plotting a trip to the hairdressers because after looking at these photos it’s clear that my fringe (“bangs” to you Americans) has pretty much grown out entirely. I bought this denim shirt dress months ago and I’ve mostly been wearing it un-buttoned and tied at the waist with a tshirt and jeans (shirt dresses never, ever work on me. They’re always too baggy at the waist and too tight across the hips so I don’t really know what possessed me to buy it in the first place) but after seeing my girl GABIFRESH wearing one all buttoned up I thought I’d give it a try. I think I like it.
