So first things first – if you’re in Australia you can tune into A Current Affair on channel 9 at 6.30pm tonight to see me, Fashion Hayley and Caitlin from Closet Confessions talking about fat blogging and fat fashion etc. I filmed my interview on Friday running on about two hours sleep and having not seen the questions beforehand so if I look or sound dumb, well there’s my excuse. But hopefully it will be a good segment. I’ll try to find it online and post it afterwards so you non-Australians can see it too.
Apart from being interviewed for television I have done some other things over the past couple of weeks, such as:
Getting a little crazy at the Chanel counter. I bought blush for the first time, along with some various other products (my favourite HG foundation, Pro Lumiere was discontinued so I decided to try Perfection Lumiere and so far I like it). Chanel is my absolute favourite make up brand, it’s expensive but I really do think it’s worth it.
I wore this outfit which I already posted a proper outfit post of but anyway the dress is from Big W (!! I know!) and the nail polish is Chanel – Peridot, which is my (and anybody else who was born in August) birth stone.
I made Ferrero Rocher stuffed chocolate cupcakes with Nutella buttercream frosting. They were insanely rich and insanely good.
Instead of a cake, Tom made me a huge brownie in the shape/face of a cat.
Oh here I am at a cafe just casually reading the Fatshionistas article in Cleo.
I love cacti and this guy was pretty impressive.
Los Latinos already have one awesome restaurant in Maidstone that Tom and I have been obsessed with for a while now, but they’ve recently opened a second location in Ascot Vale so we went to check it out. The burritos are still incredible.
I bought Zigmond this jacket. He was pissed.
I have eaten lots of delicious things lately. Anyone who hates food photos on Instagram is basically a jerk because I love them.
Tom took me on a secret surprise weekend away (that just sounds so ‘adult’ that it kind of freaks me out) and booked a cabin by the beach for a few days. We had an open fire and we toasted marshmallows and watched awesome movies like Pin.
We also went to a 3D spooky maze (yes it was awesome, and yes we were the only adults there who did not have children) and met this wombat who looks like Zigmond.
See? He is a wombat.
This is how I feel about anybody telling women what not to wear.
I’ve been getting pretty lucky in the secondhand/cheap book buying game lately.
The precious angel on his heated bed.
Some scenery around what is (hopefully!) going to be my new neighbourhood.
Punnets of strawberries were three for four dollars at the market the other day so I got a little excited and bought a bunch of them. I was planning on making some jam (I still might) but yesterday I used one of the punnets to make some fresh strawberry cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting.
And if you’d like to be Instagram buddies you can find me on there bronnyzig.

Like some of your choices in books. If you are into true crime, I can give some recomendations
at 10:21 am
My true crime collection is fairly extensive but I’m always open to finding more, what do you recommend?

- 88 men and 2 women-Clint Duffy. Duffy wrote this book in 1962. He was a reform warden at San Quentin from 1940-1952 and this book goes in the executions he had to supervise while being anti-death penatly.
-Dead Run-The Untold Story of Dennis Stockton and America’s Only Mass Escape from Death Row-Joe Jackson. Really good book about the 1984 escape.
-Execution Eve-William Buchanan. About the Miley Murders of the 1940′s. About the last day before execution for the three murders. And one hell of a twist at the end.
-Miracle at Sing Sing:How One man Transformed the Lives of America’s Most Dangerous Prisoners-Ralph Blumenthal. It is about Warden Lawes who ran Sing Sing back in the 20′s and 30′s.
-Warden Wife-Gladyis Duffy. Great book as it is written in 1959 and Ms. Duffy was born and raised at San Quentin (Like Clint) and goes into her life as the Warden’s Wife.
