Once upon a time, back before my life was consumed with moving house and cleaning and unpacking and not having internet at home, I got an email from the lovely team at Dream Diva asking if I’d like to review something from their line. After having a look at their site I said yes and since they have a store here in Melbourne (on Bridge Rd in Richmond if you’re wondering) I decided to go in and try some things on to figure out my size and see what I liked.
I took Tom with me and he helped me choose between the four or five dresses I tried on. I couldn’t decide between this polka dot one and a white A-line prom dress but Tom really liked this one (he said it reminded him of The Sims. Apparently this is a good thing) so I let Dream Diva know and they mailed it out to me.
At first I was unsure about the length since I am generally used to wearing dresses and skirt that hit well above the knee but I kind of like the longer hem line, it definitely makes it more work appropriate. I also like the low back and the little pink belt (my hatred of belts proceeded me- the package from Dream Diva actually included a little note telling me to get rid of the belt if I didn’t like it haha) which although is purely decorative, I think is cute and kind of ties it all together. I’ve mostly been wearing the sleeveless polka dot dress to work with a little black cardigan but I’ve also worn it with a leather jacket to toughen it up a bit on the weekend and I think it works well both ways.
This particular dress is currently on sale (and sold out in all but size 22) but there are lots of other cute clothes on the Dream Diva site for you guys to go check out.
