I am sorry for being a horrible absentee blogger lately. I’ve been very busy looking for a new place to live after my lease ended in January and after I found the perfect new apartment, I was busy packing and moving. And now that I am all moved into my new place I have began the always fun ‘waiting for the internet to be connected’ game. So between doing all of that (and working full time) I haven’t been dressing very well or had time for taking any proper outfit photos for the blog. Now that I’m all settled in hopefully I’ll be back being a regular blogger, but until then here are some Instagram (my username is bronnyzig if you want to be buddies) photos of what I’ve been up to lately.
The upstairs loft bedroom at my dad’s house (where I sleep when I stay over) is pretty awesome.
As is the upstairs carpeted bathroom and shower stage.
The first view of the downstairs of my new apartment just after I signed the lease and picked up the keys.
Starting to unpack
The view of my balcony from my bed.
Burgers and cider for dinner with Tom.
My kitties, Maloney and Zigmond, exploring our new home.
SO HOT in the car.
And because this is supposed to be a personal style blog, here’s what I wore yesterday.
I love these photos of leather craftsman Steve Soria’s house in Santa Barbara, California (via Design Sponge).
Here’s a cute DIY from Pine Needle Collective – painted heart tights! I’m not sure how they would go in a washing machine but they do look adorable. And you could do this with any shape/pattern you liked!

I skipped posting a few days on here because my work clothes/work bathroom get pretty boring and repetitive after a while. You can see photos from the missing days on my Instagram (bronnyzig). How are you guys going with Fatshion February? So far I’ve only missed photographing one day but taking photos of my work clothes every day is making me hate everything I own and really want to go shopping.
Do you guys remember Fatshion February? I did it last year. The idea comes from this tumblr post by Jessie Dress and you can read more about it on the official Fatshion February tumblr here. Long story short it’s about taking photos of your outfits for each day in February in an attempt to bodies that are generally ‘othered’ more visible. I am participating again and have been posting photos of my daily outfits on tumblr and twitter via Instagram (bronnyzig). I’m going to post them on Fat Aus also but rather than posting on here every day I’ll just do a round-up post every few days. Here are my outfits from the past few days:
February 1st: cardigan – miss shop, pussybow blouse – asos, trousers – tripp via torrid, bag: h&m. This was the first day of my new job and this is about about business-y as my outfits get.
February 2nd: horse print shirt- asos, trousers – tripp via torrid, loafers – vintage, bag – h&m.
February 3rd: dress: c/o dream diva (proper review post on this dress coming soon), sunglasses: karen walker, loafers: vintage.
February 4th: dress – asos, shoes – urban outfitters.
Excuse my bra straps in that last photo, but I think stuff like that is kind of what I like about Fatshion February – these are just every day outfits and you know what, some days I wear a halter neck dress with a regular bra and usually I wouldn’t post that on here but really, so what?! It’s a bit of a warts-and-all thing and I’m sure there will be a lot of boring outfits and repeated outfits through out the month but stuff like that is a bit more ‘real life’ than the idea that bloggers have some kind of never ending supply of new clothes and never wear the same things twice.
If any of you guys are doing Fatshion February let me know, I’d love to see your outfits!
