I think I get more emails and comments asking questions about this leather jacket than anything else I’ve ever worn on here so I thought I would make a review post about it just to give you guys all the details! First things first- this is a leather jacket from angryyoungandpoor.com (a site I know from my days as a punk) and it is this one: classic womens leather motorcycle jacket. As they say on there, if you want the jacket to be tight/fitted you need to size down. Mine is a size XL which according to the measurements is slightly smaller than my bust and about the same as my waist. It really does depend on how you want to wear the jacket though. I personally wanted to wear mine unzipped (mine does not zip up on me) and fitted. If you want to be able to zip it up, you’ll probably want to get your proper size.
At first I was a little disappointed with this jacket because when you first get it, it is very stiff. However, the more and more I wear mine (I wear it A LOT) the softer it gets and the more it sort of shapes to my body which I love. It’s also surprisingly warm, even unzipped!
I have chubby upper arms which sometimes means that a jacket will fit me perfectly everywhere else but be uncomfortably tight on my arms but this isn’t the case at all with the jacket. I could have even got a size smaller and I think it still would have fitted comfortably over my arms.
I really, really recommend this jacket. It comes in size XS to 5XL, costs $75 (with shipping I think it was just under $100 to Australia which is still crazy-cheap for a leather jacket!) and it’s super versatile (click here for more posts featuring this jacket). haha sometimes I’m not really sure if I can pull off half of them either! I think you just have to throw caution to the wind when it comes to fashion.

Hey Bronny! I just ordered this jacket and despite the size chart up to 5xl, it looks like they are currently only stocking up to an xxl which is a little sad. I ordered the xxl & hope it fits! Thanks for the tip on this jacket, I am looking forward to making it my own.

Ok so I’m a 22 and it fit like Bronny’s, fitted and will not close. I wanted one that would close but I’m ok with this. I know asos has two jackets similar to this but more expensive. That might be a better choice if you’re willing to spend the money and want a jacket that will close.

Quick question! If the sleeves are zipped up, will they be tighter on your wrists? I’ve been searching for a well fitted leather and had recently purchased one from the same website, my original size is medium but ordered a small instead, just hope it’s perfectly fitted on my arms to my wrists

Sorry to reply to an old post but thanks so much for this review! I ended up purchasing the jacket myself, since i had been looking for a cheap moto for a while, and I love it! But it’s VERY VERY stiff (damn near like cardboard) when i first got it and for anyone else who gets it I’d seriously recommend conditioning the leather before wearing it for comfort and ease of movement since it’s so stiff on arrival. I personally used leather honey and it feels fantastic now and it’s way easier to move around in too. Anyways, as someone who got the 2xl and wears about a size 16/18 tops, i think they may have changed the torso a bit since there’s definitely some room in the chest area on me (like at least two to three, maybe even four inches or so) while the waist fits. And the wrist zips (since i saw a comment above me on this) does make the wrist area more fitted rather than loose but everything is still comfortable.
Since AYP doesn’t stock above a size 2XL, maybe looking the jacket manufacturer up will turn up people who do stock it? The jacket is made by IK Leather.
I hope any of this helps anyone still out there searching!
